Job Description:
As the Lead DevOps Engineer at TNF, you will be responsible for overseeing our AWS and blockchain infrastructure, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 security controls, maintaining system reliability, and implementing best practices for cloud operations. The position reports to the Lead Engineer and manages a Senior DevOps Engineer while working closely with a team of developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and maintain our serverless AWS infrastructure using infrastructure as code principles
Lead and mentor a Senior DevOps Engineer, providing technical guidance and career development
Enforce compliance with SOC 2 security controls and best practices
Design and implement robust monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery solutions using AWS native tools
Manage and optimize our MongoDB and DynamoDB database environments
Collaborate with a team of four developers to improve deployment processes and implement CI/CD best practices
Establish and document standard operating procedures for infrastructure management
Drive infrastructure architecture decisions and best practices adoption
Lead incident response and resolution for critical production issues
Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency while maintaining performance
Proficient in SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) database administration
Strong expertise in managing EC2 instances and EBS volumes
Familiarity with blockchain technologies and experience managing blockchain nodes
Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, DNS, VPNs, etc.)
Deploy, monitor, and maintain blockchain nodes for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other networks as necessary
Troubleshoot node synchronization issues and ensure uptime
Stay updated on blockchain protocol changes and implement necessary updates
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
Extensive experience with serverless AWS architecture and services
Strong understanding of SOC 2 compliance requirements and security best practices
Demonstrated experience with MongoDB and DynamoDB administration
Expertise in AWS monitoring and recovery tools
Experience leading and mentoring technical team members
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.)
Proven track record of successful project delivery in a serverless environment
Experience collaborating with development teams in an agile environment
