Crypto Audit Manager

Reports to: Partner
Status: Exempt/Full-Time
Position Overview:
As a Crypto Audit Manager, you will lead and oversee audit and attest engagements for clients in the digital asset and blockchain industry. You will be responsible for managing teams, reviewing audit work, and ensuring that engagements meet professional and GAAP standards. This role requires deep expertise in digital asset accounting, audit, and digital asset ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively lead and manage the audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and technical accounting matters.
Prepare and review audit work papers, financial statements, and blockchain transaction analyses.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and disclosures.
Evaluate internal controls related to digital asset custody, security, and financial reporting.
Conduct technical research on evolving crypto accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide clients with insights and recommendations to strengthen their financial reporting processes.
Act as a primary client liaison, addressing inquiries and building strong relationships.
Mentor and develop staff and senior auditors, providing training on crypto audit methodologies.
Stay informed about industry developments, accounting frameworks (GAAP, IFRS), and regulatory trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
CPA or CA certification required.
5+ years of public accounting or audit experience, with a strong focus on digital assets.
Deep understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and DeFi protocols.
Understanding of full financial audit process, proof-of-reserves, and stablecoin attestations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor audit teams.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills to engage with clients, industry organizations, and internal teams.
Ability to work independently and adapt to the fast-evolving crypto landscape.
