Jeremy is a founding member and partner at The Network Firm and co-creator of LedgerLens, a suite of digital asset-focused audit and attestation tools. Jeremy hold credentials as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA - inactive), and Certified Bitcoin Professional (CBP).
Over his 10+ year career, including 7 years focused on digital assets, Jeremy has led audit and attest engagements across various industry niches, including exchanges, custodians, miners, token projects, wallets, payment processors, and stablecoins. Jeremy specializes in “Proof of Reserve” engagements, in it’s various forms.
Jeremy believes blockchains are the greatest innovation in accounting since double-entry, that all assets will be digital assets, and that CPAs are uniquely positioned to leverage our expertise in creating a transparent, “on-chain,” and free future for all. To help realize this future, Jeremy strives to contribute to the accounting and digital asset industries by leading by example, creating standards, and establishing best practices. Demonstrations of this commitment include:
- Executing the 1st-ever Merkle Tree Proof of Reserve engagement by a CPA Firm (2020)
- Reporting the 1st off-chain data on-chain via oracle networks by a CPA Firm (2022)
- Launching the 1st real-time attestation system for stablecoins and asset-backed tokens (2019)
- Co-authoring the Chamber of Digital Commerce’s Proof of Reserves Practitioner’s Guide (2020)
- Contributing as an SME for Texas’ landmark Proof of Reserves legislation (2023)
- Contributing to the AICPA’s Stablecoin Attestation working group (2021-2024)
Jeremy’s goal is to shape the future of the accounting profession, strengthened by verifiable, transparent, and trusted blockchain ledgers. Today, this is through our crypto-native CPA Firm, The Network Firm, and our LedgerLens suite of auditor tools, available for all to use. Tomorrow, it’s about building a global network of industry-specialized firms, creating the next iteration of services, and developing transparency standards for an on-chain world.
