Ahmed Sheik

Senior Associate, Digital Asset Business Services

Ahmed is a Senior Associate in Digital Asset Business Services, with a focus on complex digital asset accounting for clients across the Web3 ecosystem. He has hands-on experience applying both IFRS and US GAAP to the full spectrum of digital asset transactions, and has experience working across many of the leading digital asset subledgers.

He began his career in assurance, spending several years in the South African audit profession before serving consecutive busy seasons with Big 4 firms in the United States and Europe, where he advanced into engagement management on large audit portfolios.

Ahmed is a Chartered Accountant, CA(SA), and holds a Bachelor of Accounting Sciences along with two postgraduate diplomas, one in Accounting Sciences and one in Applied Accountancy from the University of South Africa. He was awarded a scholarship by The Network Firm to complete the On-chain Finance Institute's Crypto Accounting Academy, earning his certification in crypto accounting. He is also a UiPath Certified RPA Associate, bringing an automation-minded approach to client work.
